According to Korean media, since 2020, Yoo Ah has used illegal substances 200 times, spending about 500 million won (about 9.1 billion VND) to buy propofol (a prescription drug, banned from indiscriminate use in Korea). The above amount does not include other drugs that the actor used.

In addition, Yoo Ah In was also accused of illegally using about 1,000 sleeping pills prescribed under other people's names, using cocaine and marijuana with four acquaintances in the US.

The Korean actor has been under investigation since 2022. In early 2023, he was detained at a Korean airport upon returning from the US for testing. Test results showed that the famous actor tested positive for 8 types of banned substances used in Korea.

From an A-list star, Yoo Ah In quickly lost his back to the Korean public. Within just one month of being investigated, Yoo Ah In lost the opportunity to participate in a major film project, and many brands canceled their collaboration contracts with him.
