Apple prepares a series of hot products for the iPhone anniversary year

Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman revealed that Apple is preparing for a "big year" in 2027, promising to refresh the current product line to celebrate two decades of iPhone on the market.

The company is expected to use the milestone to introduce its first foldable iPhone, followed by a premium smartphone with an all-glass design.

Also in 2027, Apple is expected to launch smart glasses with integrated artificial intelligence (AI), marking a pivotal year for the company's entire ecosystem, according to Bloomberg.

Foldable screen iPhone

Among the expected products, the foldable iPhone is considered the centerpiece. Sources say the device is expected to hit the market in 2027.

What sets it apart from its Android rivals is the nearly invisible crease in the middle of the screen. Currently, most foldable smartphones have a fairly obvious crease in this position, although manufacturers have made efforts to minimize it.

The foldable iPhone could be announced late next year, around the same time as the iPhone 18, and officially hit shelves on the 20th anniversary of the iPhone line.

Recent reports suggest that the device will feature a titanium bezel and could cost more than $2,000.

Also in 2027, Apple is said to introduce a "curved iPhone" model with a largely glass design.

Its highlight is a completely edge-to-edge screen, without a notch or any notch. This high-end iPhone model "will mark the 10th anniversary of the launch of the iPhone X", the phone that pioneered the "all-glass iPhone" trend.

AI and smart glasses: Apple's new step

The “rebirth” that Mark Gurman mentioned is not limited to the iPhone. That same year, 2027, Apple is expected to launch a series of products integrated with artificial intelligence, starting with smart glasses, designed to compete with Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses.

This product will use a camera to recognize and interact with the user's surroundings.

These smart glasses will be entirely based on Apple Intelligence, Apple's AI toolkit and Visual Intelligence functionality.

In parallel, Apple continues to develop dedicated augmented reality (AR) glasses, but it doesn't look like they'll be released in the near future.

In addition, Apple is also said to be developing new versions of AirPods and Apple Watch with integrated AI. Through the camera, these products can also take advantage of Visual Intelligence.

All of these products, including smart glasses, will benefit from the new Siri, which is expected to launch this fall.

Finally, Apple also plans to launch a robotic arm powered by artificial intelligence and with its own "personality."

The timing of the project's launch is still unclear, but the robotic arm is seen as part of Apple's larger strategy to dominate the smart home market.
