Arsenal marked their return to the Champions League after six years with an impressive 4-0 win over PSV Eindhoven at the Emirates Stadium.

Bukayo Saka, Leandro Trossard, Gabriel Jesus and Martin Odegaard took turns scoring to help Arsenal "crush" the opponent they were in the same group with in the Europa League last season.
This victory helped the Gunners extend their unbeaten streak since the beginning of the season to 7 matches, including 6 wins.
In this victory, coach Mikel Arteta made 3 changes compared to the victory against Everton when he sent Gabriel Jesus, Leandro Trossard and Kai Havertz onto the field from the start.
These changes helped Arsenal play better and it only took them 8 minutes to break the balance thanks to Bukayo Saka.
12 minutes later, Bukayo Saka had a favorable pass for Leandro Trossard to comfortably finish without being marked, doubling the gap for the home team.
In the 38th minute, Jesus comfortably controlled the ball for a moment and then fired a powerful shot into the PSV net after a well-placed cross from Trossard, increasing the gap for the home team at Emirates Stadium.
In the second half, Arsenal continued to dominate the game, while PSV seemed to just accept defeat.
Coach Mikel Arteta's students played leisurely but still scored another goal to make it 4-0 with a beautiful long-range shot from Odegaard.
This resounding victory helped Arsenal get their first 3 points, thereby rising to the top of Group B after the opening match of the 2023/24 Champions League season.
In the same match, reigning Europa League champions Sevilla were held to a 1-1 draw by their opponents Lens at home.
Sevilla took the lead in the ninth minute through Lucas Ocampos but Lens quickly responded with an equalizer in the 24th minute through Angelo Fulgini.
