On May 4, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ba Ria - Vung Tau announced that at the end of the 5-day holiday (from April 30 to May 4), the whole province welcomed about 858,000 tourists, an increase of nearly 37% over the same period last year.
Tourism revenue is estimated at over VND661 billion, up nearly 34%, of which accommodation revenue accounts for more than half at VND389 billion. The average room occupancy rate of the whole province is 85%.

With a series of events taking place, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province attracts a large number of visitors.
Outstanding activities such as the National Art Kite Festival, the International Sailing Race, the V-FEST ALL STAR Music Festival at Lam Son Stadium... turned the coastal city into an "entertainment center" for tourists. Nearly 366,000 people flocked to Vung Tau beaches, an increase of more than 72,000 compared to last year.
Lifeguards and security forces are deployed 100% at the beaches, contributing to ensuring safety for residents and tourists.
During the holiday, 8 cases of beachgoers being swept away from shore were promptly rescued, 1 case was given first aid due to wave impact. At the same time, inspection teams dispersed 132 groups eating on the beach, handled 4 cases of street vendors and propagated to ensure urban beauty.

Back Beach, Vung Tau, held a kite flying festival that attracted many participants.
In Con Dao district, activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of liberation were solemnly organized: political art program, raft racing competition, food court, candle lighting at Hang Duong cemetery... Besides, tourists can also experience forest - sea ecotourism, diving to see coral, releasing baby turtles into the sea. In particular, service prices in Con Dao are controlled stably, no overcharging occurs.
