On weekends, besides the soldiers enjoying recreational activities, Company 3, Battalion 1 (Air Defense Brigade 77) always strictly maintains the combat readiness (SSCD) battery.

Arriving at the battlefield, we witnessed Sergeant Nguyen Anh Tuan, the leader of Battery 1, Platoon 1, Company 3, organizing the battery to practice situations of enemy air infiltration, low-altitude aircraft targets, and UAVs appearing... The commander's commands and the coordinated responses of the gunners echoed across the battlefield. The battery handled all situations quite well.

Thoroughly understand the tasks at each battery.

Sergeant Nguyen Anh Tuan said: "With the spirit of 'Sweat on the training ground, less blood on the battlefield', we practice close coordination between the teams, ensuring quick handling of situations, accurately destroying targets right from the first round of bullets, not being passive, surprised and missing opportunities... With the spirit of enthusiastic training, not being subjective, in the past time, especially during the peak of combat readiness on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, the unit has successfully completed its mission; officers and soldiers have high combat readiness, firmly protecting the sky of Ho Chi Minh City".

The 77th Air Defense Brigade's battery practices combat situations.

Implementing the “3 readiness” model, the Party Committee and the Brigade commanders paid attention to selecting units as models to create breakthroughs and replicate the model. Accordingly, the Party Committees and commanders of the units assessed the units’ strengths and weaknesses, thereby developing specific plans and thoroughly disseminating them to all officers and soldiers.

The battery practiced combat situations on the battlefield.

From the practice of combat readiness, the Brigade focuses on training officers and soldiers to be proficient in techniques, tactics, and combat plans, and attaches importance to physical training and coordination between squads and within each battery. Over the past 4 years, the Brigade has invested more than billions of dong in building battlefield fortifications, training grounds, models, documents, materials, and synchronous technical equipment and weapons, ensuring technical coefficients.

Personal physical checks ensure mobility readiness.

The brigade organized well the training, fostering, and practice of basic exercises, shooting exercises closely applied to combat plans. The squads promoted sports and competitions; imparted combat experience, the art of air defense warfare, in accordance with the organization, structure, and existing weapons and equipment of the unit; at the same time promoted the promotion of technical innovation initiatives, the application of science and technology in training, increased night training, and field mobility training to train the troops. Party committees and commanders of the units regularly updated andeducated the troops to grasp the enemy's plots and tricks, recent combat tricks, and built high determination for officers and soldiers.

Night training focus.

Colonel Nguyen Duc Phong added: "In addition to strengthening inspection, after each stage and each topic, we direct units to learn from experience, correctly assess the causes of strengths and weaknesses, and clearly identify directions for improvement; regularly learning from experience, the Brigade has built and expanded the models of "Model Training Company" and "Three Best", thereby strongly innovating training methods and forms that are close to the target and suitable to the requirements of the task".

Mobile organization for field training.

Over the past 5 years, the Brigade has performed excellently in live-fire drills, ensuring absolute safety; 100% of annual inspection results have met requirements, more than 75% have been good and excellent; many companies and battalions have been recognized as excellent training units, strictly following discipline and winning many high prizes at competitions...

On the basis of improving training, the Brigade thoroughly grasps the resolutions, directives, and orders of the superiors, the unit's tasks, the advantages and difficulties in training, and air defense combat readiness; from there, it builds, passes, and ratifies the combat readiness plan in accordance with regulations. The Brigade regularly adjusts and supplements the system of combat documents, realistic combat readiness plans, and practices the plans skillfully; at the same time, it coordinates with forces in the training area, builds a solid air defense posture, and firmly protects the southern sky of the Fatherland.
