In the past time, the Party Committees and Military Commands of the two provinces have seriously grasped and implemented the directives and plans of the Ministry of National Defense and the Military Region, especially Directive No. 24-CT/DU of the Standing Committee of the Military Region Party Committee and Plan No. 651/KH-QK of the Military Region on organizing and implementing local military agencies.

Major General Nguyen Quoc Huong, Deputy Commander of Military Region 5, Head of Support Team No. 2 of Steering Committee 1155 of Military Region 5 chaired the meeting.

The Quang Ngai Provincial Military Command organized democratic dialogues with cadres at all levels, grasping the ideological situation, thoughts and aspirations of cadres before dissolving the district-level Military Command and merging the province.

Conducting actual inspections of the results of the inventory of public assets, technical equipment, and defense materials and goods of agencies and units. Kon Tum Provincial Military Command has actively coordinated with Quang Ngai Provincial Military Command in preparing and organizing meetings to agree on plans for unit merger and reorganization.

Kon Tum province has directed districts and cities to organize inspections of local military missions for communes and towns; organize inventories of materials, weapons, equipment, and documents, and prepare for handover.

Speaking at the meeting, Major General Nguyen Quoc Huong acknowledged and praised the efforts and determination of the Party Committees and Military Commands of the two provinces in preparing to deploy the organization of local military agencies; requested the two localities to continue to closely follow the directives and resolutions of the above; focus on reviewing and perfecting the organization plans, perfecting the apparatus and staffing.

Focus on leadership and direction to properly resolve policies and regimes, ensure surplus staff, streamline staffing according to Decree 178, 67 and Circular 19. Pay attention to military rear policy work, create peace of mind and trust for officers and soldiers in the process of merging, dissolving and establishing new units.

Continue to promote the sense of responsibility, maintain internal solidarity, closely coordinate with functional agencies of the Military Region and local authorities to soon put local military agencies into effective and efficient operation, meeting the requirements and tasks of local defense and military in the new situation.
