Presenting a political report at the congress, Colonel Lai Thanh Binh, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of Brigade 429, said that in the 2020-2025 term, the Brigade Party Committee led the unit to successfully complete the targets set out in the resolution, including many excellent tasks.

The Party Committee has many breakthrough, innovative and creative measures to improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party committees and organizations at all levels, focusing on building a clean and strong Party, well-trained units, strict discipline, high combat readiness, and building a regular and modern Brigade.

The results of the annual training tests are all excellent; officers and soldiers have strong political will, good health, endurance in harsh weather conditions, different combat environments, are proficient in techniques and tactics, ensuring the ability to complete tasks well in all situations; build a clean and strong Party organization, a comprehensively strong unit that is "exemplary and typical".

In 2023, the Brigade was awarded the Third Class Fatherland Protection Medal by the Party and State. Over the past 5 years, the Brigade has received many certificates of merit from the Ministry of National Defense and the Special Forces for its implementation of movements and campaigns and has won many high prizes in competitions and sports events.

Speaking at the congress, Major General Nguyen Quoc Duan praised and highly appreciated the results of the Brigade Party Committee's performance in the past term. In response to the requirements of the task of building and defending the Fatherland in the new period, Major General Nguyen Quoc Duan requested the Brigade to effectively implement a number of key measures in the 2025-2030 term.

In particular, the Brigade Party Committee focuses on thoroughly grasping and concretizing the Party's resolutions; building a program to implement the resolutions; doing a good job of educating cadres and soldiers; actively innovating training content and methods in line with combat plans; improving the leadership capacity of Party committees and organizations at all levels; strengthening inspection and supervision work; building cadres and soldiers with good qualities, abilities and qualifications, ready to receive and complete well all assigned tasks.
