Bac Gia Nghia strives to become a model ward, a growth driver in the West of Lam Dong

On the morning of July 28, the Party Committee of Bac Gia Nghia Ward (Lam Dong) held its first Congress for the 2025-2030 term, with the participation of 150 official delegates, representing 1,228 party members of the entire ward. This is an important political event, marking a strong transformation of a new administrative unit, on the way to affirming its leading role in the development of the western region of the province.

The congress was honored to welcome comrades Luu Van Trung, Deputy Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee; Ngo Thanh Danh, former Secretary of Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee, former Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Dak Nong Province; Phan Tuan Pha, former Secretary of Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee; Mai Thi Xuan Trung, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Duong Khac Mai, Provincial Party Committee member, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Tran Van Nam, Provincial Party Committee member, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board, and representatives of leaders of agencies and units inside and outside the province.

After 5 years of implementing the Resolution for the 2020 - 2025 term, Bac Gia Nghia ward has achieved many remarkable achievements in many fields. The economic structure has shifted positively towards increasing the proportion of industry, construction and services, and gradually reducing agriculture - forestry - fishery.

Infrastructure has been invested in, the urban appearance is increasingly spacious and clean. The quality of education and health care is constantly improving. People's lives have improved significantly, and trust in the Party and the government has been strengthened.

The Congress determined the goals for the 2025-2030 term as continuing to build a clean and strong Party organization and political system; promoting the strength of national solidarity; accelerating digital transformation, administrative reform, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state management; building a professional civil service to better serve the people.

In his opening speech, comrade Vo Pham Xuan Lam, member of the Provincial Standing Committee, Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Bac Gia Nghia Ward affirmed that the results achieved in the past term were thanks to the solidarity, unity, and high political determination of the Party Committee; the dynamism and responsibility of the team of cadres, party members, civil servants, and public employees; the spirit of consensus and active labor and production of the people in the area.

At the same time, effectively exploit the potential and advantages of the locality for comprehensive and sustainable development, striving to turn Bac Gia Nghia into a model ward, an important growth driver in the development space of the West of Lam Dong province.

Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Luu Van Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, requested that immediately after the Congress, the Ward Party Committee urgently develop an Action Program to implement the Resolution of the 1st Congress of Bac Gia Nghia Ward Party Committee.

He emphasized that the locality needs to continue to be highly determined, constantly innovate thinking and action to move forward quickly, catch up with the developed urban areas of the province. Bac Gia Nghia needs to urgently overcome shortcomings, remove bottlenecks, create new breakthroughs in development, contributing to enhancing the position of the ward in the region and the whole province.

The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee suggested that, immediately after the Congress, the Ward Party Committee should promptly develop an Action Program to implement the Resolution in a methodical, practical, and highly feasible manner. Each program must clearly define the people, the work, the progress, the results, and the responsibilities. The implementation must be on schedule, ensuring progress, with a strict inspection and supervision mechanism. He emphasized: "Once decided, it must be done, once done, it must be completed and the results must be verified." This is the consistent guiding spirit that the Party and State leaders always require and wish to spread throughout the entire political system.

Along with that, Bac Gia Nghia ward needs to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the contents of innovation and reform set forth by the Politburo and the Government, especially the 4 pillars of innovation and 6 core thinking in development. The ward needs to make the most of resources to develop trade, services, tourism, and handicrafts, while preserving and promoting national cultural values associated with sustainable tourism development. Social security, poverty reduction, and improving people's lives continue to be key and regular tasks.

The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also paid special attention to the requirement of comprehensive digital transformation. Bac Gia Nghia needs to take the lead in implementing Resolution 57 of the Politburo, applying digital technology to management, effectively serving the people, and building a modern e-government. At the same time, gradually forming a digital economy and digital society to meet development requirements in the new era.
