Uncle Ho and the People's Public Security of Vietnam published by Tre Publishing House in May 2025, part of the Ho Chi Minh Heritage book series (to date there are 65 titles).
"Forget yourself for the country"
On February 21, 1946, President of the Government of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh signed the Decree to unify the Vietnam Public Security Service. August 19 every year is taken as the traditional day of the Vietnam People's Public Security and is designated as the National Day for National Security Protection.
Throughout his revolutionary career, President Ho Chi Minh always had special affection, leadership, and close and constant attention for the People's Public Security Force - the core shock force in the cause of protecting national security and maintaining social order and safety. On March 28, 1959, at the founding ceremony of the People's Armed Police Force in Hanoi , President Ho Chi Minh attended and had profound conclusions to send to the force, including:

Throughout historical periods, Uncle Ho's profound and rich teachings have contributed greatly to building a clean and strong police force. The stories collected in the book are divided into four contents: Police - The Right Arm of the Totalitarian State; Our Police is the People's Police; The Qualities of Revolutionary Police; Uncle Ho with the People's Police - The People's Police with Uncle Ho.
"To be a police officer, one must make the people trust, love, and support them" - President HO CHI MINH spoke at the 2nd Training Course - Ministry of Public Security on May 16, 1959.
"Police must be servants of the people"
President Ho Chi Minh's instruction at the Intermediate Police School - Course I, in 1950 stated: "The police must be the servants of the people. As servants of the people, the police must strive to protect the people and serve the people."

The patriotic emulation movement of studying and implementing Uncle Ho's six teachings is the guiding principle for all activities of the People's Public Security force, contributing greatly to building a model force of absolute loyalty; cultivating revolutionary ethics, diligence - thrift - integrity - uprightness; enhancing the sense of responsibility, "truly serving the people" as Uncle Ho taught.
Through historical periods, with the care and guidance of President Ho Chi Minh, the leadership of the Party and State, the trust, support and protection of the people, the People's Public Security force has continuously grown, become strong in politics, ideology, organization and ethics, steadfast in law, and sharp in professional skills. The People's Public Security has made particularly important contributions to the glorious revolutionary cause of the nation, the cause of national liberation struggle, and the construction and protection of the Vietnamese Fatherland.
