Bac Ninh: Proposal to organize 3 free tours in 2026

Bac Ninh focuses on preserving cultural space and promoting Kinh Bac cultural values.

On the afternoon of November 6, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province Mai Son chaired a working session with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to grasp the operational situation of the public service units under the Department since the merger; discuss solutions for leadership and direction of activities in the coming time.

At the meeting, delegates focused on discussing and proposing solutions to promote the development of culture; tourism ; sports; preserving and promoting the value of relics and cultural heritage; developing reading culture; investing in and effectively exploiting cultural institutions and works...

Notably, following the success of free tours, with the desire to provide real experiences, help tourists explore relics, traditional craft villages and introduce the beauty of the province, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Ninh proposed the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to direct the Department of Finance to arrange funds in 2026 to organize 3 free tours to serve the people.

Expected to include: Spiritual tour following the heritage chain from Do Temple, Dam Pagoda, But Thap, Vinh Nghiem, Tay Yen Tu; spiritual tour combining the eco-tourism sites of Tay Yen Tu, Vinh Nghiem, Khe Ro Lake or Vinh Nghiem, Bo Da Pagoda; spiritual tour of Do Temple with Kinh Duong Vuong Temple combined with the experience of Phu Lang pottery village, Dong Ho paintings creating a very good effect for the people in communication, enhancing cultural and spiritual values.

Along with that, the province continues to maintain and extend the Hanoi 5-gate train; at the same time, calling for investment in at least 2 points to develop night-time economic services; organizing areas and streets for shopping and entertainment services to develop the night-time economy in the wards of Kinh Bac, Vo Cuong, Tu Son, Bac Giang.

The Department also proposed investing in developing services and tourism on both banks of the Cau and Duong rivers such as Quan Ho singing, Cheo singing, intangible cultural heritage on boats; Dong Ngu water puppetry performances...

In his speech, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province Mai Son emphasized that culture is not only a spiritual foundation but also an endogenous strength, an important driving force for the development of Bac Ninh province in the new period. With that spirit, he requested cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers of the provincial culture, sports and tourism sector to focus on building office culture and public ethics to spread the spirit of serving the people, enhancing the image of Bac Ninh people as friendly, responsible, modern but still imbued with identity.

He requested the Department to be proactive in planning and developing the industry, ensuring the preservation of cultural space, promoting Kinh Bac cultural values associated with the development of eco-tourism and experiential tourism; at the same time, promoting tourism development, connecting with the Capital region, attracting investment in entertainment areas, experiential tourism, building typical tourism products, striving to have 1-2 internationally recognized tourist destinations during the term, practically contributing to building Bac Ninh into a centrally-run city with a strong Kinh Bac cultural identity.
