BSCK1. Pham Tri Hung is currently Head of the HIV/AIDS Disease Control Department, and also works in health education and communication at the Thot Not District Medical Center, Can Tho City.
During his 15 years of working in the field of HIV/AIDS treatment for patients, Dr. Hung always put his heart and medical ethics first because these are patients who suffer from stigma and inferiority complex. He always gives patients a sense of safety, understanding, sharing intimate, difficult-to-talk-about issues, including mistakes. He listens to patients confide without judgment.
Doctor CKII Pham Tri Hung, Head of HIV/AIDS Disease Control Department, Thot Not District Medical Center, is not only a dedicated doctor but also a caring "brother", an understanding "friend" to patients; close to colleagues, always trusted and respected by patients and colleagues.
" Patients at the HIV/AIDS clinic are especially sensitive and shy, so as a doctor, you should not be distant but should be very sympathetic, play many roles, become a friend, a brother full of understanding and sharing to gain the trust of the patients" - Dr. Hung shared.
Up to now, the HIV/AIDS Clinic and Treatment Center at Thot Not District Medical Center has become a reliable place for patients. The number of patients currently receiving outpatient HIV treatment in Thot Not District is nearly 700 cases, and the number of patients receiving Methadone treatment for drug addiction is 67 cases.
With a heart full of love for poor patients and patients in difficult circumstances, Dr. Hung called for the establishment of a charity medical examination group for the people, mobilizing donors to sponsor medicine and nutritional food. This work is carried out quarterly and annually in areas with elderly people, underlying diseases, and families in difficult circumstances. In total, 110,000,000 VND worth of medicine has been mobilized for 8 charity medical examinations in areas in Thot Not district.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, as the captain of the mobile epidemic prevention and control team and the rapid response team of the Center, Dr. Hung always upheld his sense of responsibility, rushing to the front line to fight the epidemic, not afraid of difficulties and hardships.
Doctor Pham Tri Hung (right cover) was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister for his achievements in work from 2017-2021, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland, awarded at the 68th Anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day, February 27, 2023.

The model of "Disease prevention communication posters at the medical examination table" aims to directly communicate visually to people every time they come to the Health Station for a medical examination. Communication slogans are selected with illustrations of common and community-related diseases to change people's behavior, awareness and positive actions.
