On the morning of October 19, the National Economics University held the Opening Ceremony and awarded Doctoral degrees for the year 2024, marking the end of a year with 91 doctoral students reaching the final destination of their noble education and starting a new training course with 124 new doctoral students.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong, President of the National Economics University, advised the 91 newly awarded PhDs that lifelong learning is the best foundation to build a bright future for each individual, as well as for their family and country. The new PhDs can be proud of the journey they have gone through and what they have achieved.
"You have proven yourself by overcoming difficulties and challenges. A doctoral degree is an important milestone in each person's life, opening a new stage full of promise but also full of responsibility. Your success will always be the pride of your family, teachers, and the National Economics University. We will always follow and believe that you will be a shining example for the next generations," emphasized Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong.
This is also a special course with many research articles published in ISI/Scopus journals, with dozens of new PhDs as main authors of prestigious works.
To the 124 PhD students of the 45th course, Prof. Pham Hong Chuong advised that the upcoming PhD journey will have times of anxiety, stress, fatigue, and even deadlock. However, that is part of life, part of the PhD student job. "I believe that you will overcome everything and step up to the podium to receive your PhD degree," said Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong.
In particular, representing the new PhDs, Dr. Nguyen Nhat Linh, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department of the Youth Union, Deputy Secretary of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Youth Union, shared the following impressive comments:
"The PhD degree from the National Economics University is an aspiration that we are very happy and proud to achieve. Aspiration, because in addition to the significance of the academic degree, the highest degree in the nationaleducation system, it is also a life degree of teacher-student, brotherhood, friendship and above all, the love of science, from the heart-centered lesson plan with the philosophy of life that teachers have imparted, always lighting up and conveying in the heart of each graduate student the energy to overcome difficulties and challenges, reaching the destination of the aspiration in boundless joy.
The process of learning and researching is a process of contemplation and maturity for all graduate students with profound lessons. I would like to summarize them into 3 elements: ( Nerve ) Willpower; ( Endeavor ) Determination and ( Union ) Solidarity.

Under the roof of the National Economics University, teachers have given us a new perspective on the path of research and experience, we are trained in critical thinking and the ability to proactively solve problems. And now, the new PhDs of the National Economics University have the responsibility to connect the knowledge gained from this degree to life in each position, each working journey ahead, so that the efforts of teachers to impart are more meaningful in the "new era of the Vietnamese nation".

With all the most beautiful words, we still cannot express all the gratitude, respect and memories in this speech, but we hope that you will believe that in each of us, the new PhDs, we have engraved in our hearts and forever remember the feelings, valuable help and timely encouragement of our teachers. Therefore, once again, please accept our sincere wishes for good health and our deepest thanks.
Dear fellow PhD students of course 45!
Be brave to move forward with pride because you have made the right choice. Because here there are respected teachers, dedicated and knowledgeable about scientific knowledge in research and teaching. Doing research is not an easy journey, but it is an interesting and meaningful path that we experience, not only requiring perseverance, but also requiring creativity and love for knowledge. Do not be afraid of failure or temporary difficulties, always be steadfast in your goals and passion. Success will come to those who dare to challenge, dare to explore new things.
The road ahead is still long, but I believe that you – the next batch of graduate students – will have enough: Willpower, determination and solidarity spirit " Overcoming thorns to pick roses". Let's keep that belief so that when we look back, all our efforts today will be worth it. And like us, you will always have the companionship of family, friends and colleagues who always sympathize, share, encourage and help. We are grateful to them.
And my brothers and sisters, my friends, dear new PhDs! We are a united group that has gone through wonderful days, before temporarily parting ways to begin the journey of liberating our own limits. Allow me to send you my thanks for trusting me and giving me the honor to speak at this ceremony. That is one of the many reasons I want to express my feelings: Today we are proud of the School, of our teachers and forever we carry that pride and honor to work and contribute, more worthy of being PhDs of the National Economics University".
