Comrade Ho Quoc Dung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee chaired the meeting. Attending the meeting were comrades: Rah Lan Chung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Chau Ngoc Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Ngoc Luong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee: Nguyen Tuan Thanh; Nguyen Tuan Anh; Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang; Nguyen Huu Que. The meeting was connected online to the bridge points of communes and wards where the projects pass through.

According to the report, the North-South High-Speed ​​Railway Project through Gia Lai province has its starting point at Hoai Nhon Bac ward, bordering Quang Ngai province; its ending point at Quy Nhon Tay ward, bordering Dak Lak province. The total length of the route through the province is about 115.7km and passes through 18 communes and wards of the province.

According to the design, the project through the province will have 2 stations: Bong Son Station in Hoai Nhon Nam Ward; Dieu Tri Station in Tuy Phuoc Tay Commune. The total land requirement of the project through Gia Lai province is about 758 hectares. The cost of site clearance for the entire route is about 6,410 billion VND. To serve the project, Gia Lai province plans to invest in building 38 resettlement areas, 6 reburial areas and 10 land mines. Currently, localities in the province have set up site clearance markers for 37/38 areas. At the same time, 18/18 localities in the province where the project passes have established a Compensation and Support Council for site clearance to promptly implement site clearance for the project.

The Quy Nhon - Pleiku Expressway Construction Investment Project has a total length of about 125 km (of which the section passing through the territory of Binh Dinh province (old) is about 40 km, and the section passing through the territory of Gia Lai province (old) is about 85 km) and passes through 17 communes and wards of the new Gia Lai province. The total investment of the project is about 43,734 billion VND. It is expected that the total area of ​​land occupied for the project will be about 942.15 hectares; the cost of compensation, support and resettlement will be about 4,715 billion VND (excluding contingency funds). The project is expected to start construction in October 2025.

After listening to the progress report and concluding the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ho Quoc Dung emphasized that the two high-speed railway projects on the North-South axis through the province and the Quy Nhon-Pleiku expressway construction investment project are two national key projects, which, once completed, will open up new opportunities for the province's socio-economic development.

The Provincial Party Secretary requested the Provincial People's Committee to direct relevant departments and branches to guide localities in issuing land price lists, which are the basis for site clearance. At the same time, urgently develop compensation plans; mark-setting work; planning resettlement areas; planning land funds around the two stations of the North-South high-speed railway project; planning dumping sites when implementing the project. Study the planning of urban areas, industrial parks and industrial clusters along the Quy Nhon - Pleiku expressway. Local Party Secretaries must directly direct and coordinate with units to speed up site clearance progress in the area.

The Provincial Party Secretary assigned the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board and the Provincial Traffic and Civil Works Project Management Board to coordinate and speed up the site clearance progress for the Quy Nhon – Pleiku Expressway project. For the high-speed railway project on the North – South axis through the province, the Land Fund Development Center was assigned to be responsible for site clearance.

The Department of Finance balances and arranges capital in the medium-term plan, and is ready to advance money to clear the land for projects. The Department of Agriculture and Environment directs investors to prepare land mines to be ready for the start of construction.

The Provincial Party Secretary also requested the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission and the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to coordinate with investors to develop a propaganda outline on the urgency and importance of the two key projects so that people can understand, care about and support them.

Comrade Ho Quoc Dung emphasized: We must strive to start construction of the Quy Nhon - Pleiku expressway project before the First Provincial Party Congress, this will be a project to welcome the Congress. Therefore, he requested the entire political system in the province to focus on accelerating the progress of each project item to ensure the set progress.
