The Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control, Rescue Team, and Civil Defense of Da Nang issued a notice on rain and flood forecast.

According to the forecast information of the General Department of Hydrometeorology No. 1297/TCKTTV-QLDB, from November 3 to 10, 2024, the Central region may be affected by some bad weather patterns causing heavy rain; after November 10, 2024, heavy rain in the Central region continues to develop complicatedly with the possibility of 2-3 heavy rains, in which the first half of November will be concentrated in the provinces from Ha Tinh to Quang Ngai, the second half of November and early December will be concentrated in the provinces from Quang Binh to Phu Yen.

To proactively cope with natural disasters, the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of Da Nang City requested departments, branches, People's Committees of districts and units to urgently overcome the consequences of storm No. 6 according to the directives of the City Party Committee and People's Committee.

The committee also requested agencies and units to closely monitor disaster forecasts and warnings on the websites: nchmf.gov.vn, kttvttb.vn, the Facebook page of Danang Disaster Prevention Information, Hotline 1022 Fanpage, Danang Smart City app...; monitor rainfall on the website vrain.vn and the Vrain app on phones; be ready to deploy disaster prevention and control plans...

In addition, it is necessary to review residential areas living in low-lying areas, riverside areas, areas at risk of landslides and flash floods, paying special attention to people living along Tuy Loan and Cu De rivers; and to notify people of natural disasters so that they can proactively respond.

According to their functions and tasks, direct the Management Boards and Investors of projects under construction to be ready to deploy plans to prevent heavy rain for projects; deploy measures to prevent flooding, and clear water flows for residential areas due to unfinished projects.

The People's Committees of districts continue to review and be ready to evacuate people in areas at risk of deep flooding, flash floods, and landslides; coordinate with relevant units to prepare forces, vehicles, equipment, and essential necessities according to the "four on-the-spot" motto to be ready to respond to natural disasters; mobilize people to harvest agricultural products early (if any).

The Department of Construction presides over and coordinates with the People's Committees of districts to direct the implementation of plans to prevent flooding and clear drainage ditches.

The Department of Transport shall preside over and coordinate with relevant units to inspect and ensure safety and smooth operation of main traffic routes; prepare sufficient spare materials, proactively arrange forces, vehicles and equipment to proactively carry out immediate clean-up work and ensure traffic on the routes; urgently direct the review of routes at risk of landslides, deploy safety solutions, quickly overcome the consequences of natural disasters and warn people in dangerous areas.

Danang Irrigation Exploitation Company Limited, Drainage and Wastewater Treatment Company and localities, reservoir management units regularly closely monitor the water level of reservoirs, organize safety inspections of reservoirs in the area; prepare forces, means and equipment to promptly handle incidents, ensuring safety of works.
