On the afternoon of November 25, the Ethnic Committee of the Provincial People's Council held a meeting to review the report and draft resolution submitted to the 26th Session, the regular meeting at the end of the year. Attending were comrade Ha Nhat Le, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; comrade Hoang Van Thach, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of a number of relevant departments, branches and sectors.
The Ethnic Council of the Provincial People's Council met to review the report and draft resolution documents submitted at the 26th Session of the Provincial People's Council, term XVII, 2021 - 2026.
The meeting reviewed the Report on the results of implementing the province's socio -economic development plan in 2024 and the directions and tasks for 2025 (in the field of ethnic affairs); reviewed the Report on reviewing the direction and administration of the Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee in 2024 and the directions and tasks for 2025; reviewed the Report on the results of resolving voters' opinions and recommendations and questions from the Provincial People's Council delegates during and after the 20th session of the Provincial People's Council, term XVII, term 2021 - 2026. The meeting also gave opinions on building a draft resolution dossier related to religious affairs.
After reviewing, the delegates basically agreed on the content of the reports and draft resolutions. At the same time, they discussed and gave opinions on the National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority Areas; the program to reduce early marriage and incestuous marriage; support for plants and breeds; the role and responsibility in preserving ethnic culture; support for resettlement costs for areas at risk of landslides after natural disasters; land support policies for ethnic minorities, etc.
Speaking at the meeting, comrade Ha Nhat Le, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, stated that ethnic work has achieved positive results in recent times, however, the disbursement rate is still low, it is necessary to assess the responsibility of the steering committee and relevant parties in implementing projects and sub-projects; conduct an assessment of the pilot decentralization of increasing capital sources to implement the National Target Program 1719; evaluate the results of phase I and directions for the next phase.
Receiving the opinions of the delegates, the leaders of the Ethnic Committee requested the departments and branches to complete and supplement the content of the report and draft resolution documents to be submitted to the 26th session of the Provincial People's Council, term XVII, term 2021 - 2026, which will be held in the coming time.
