Handing over the route of the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway project, section through Lao Cai

The Ministry of Construction delegation inspected the project route.

This is the route plan of the completed project according to the Pre-Feasibility Study Report. There are some locations where the route has changed compared to the route according to the documents previously provided by the Project Management Board, especially at the section passing through Bao Thang district.

A section of the project route passing through Bao Thang district has been adjusted.

The handover of the entire project route, including boundaries and clearance areas of stations and technical stations, will facilitate localities where the project passes through to conduct inventories, statistics, and estimate the number of affected households and households that must be resettled.

The Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway project has a total main line length of 390.9 km, of which the length through Lao Cai province is 66.1 km, with a large volume of surveying, statistics and counting work to serve site clearance. The Provincial People's Committee has directed departments, branches and localities where the railway passes through to actively carry out surveying work, determine the scope of site clearance to serve compensation and resettlement support work to ensure the project starts on December 19 this year as directed by the Government.
