Gold price skyrocketed 2.5 million VND/tael this week
Meanwhile, the price of 4-number-9 gold rings at SJC Company also increased by 2.5 million VND after a week when buying was 113.5 million VND, selling increased by 2 million VND, up to 116 million VND. The precious metal posted its biggest weekly gain in six weeks as investors flocked to safe-haven assets amid threats of new tariffs from US President Donald Trump and a weaker dollar. President Donald Trump proposed a 50% tariff on imports from the EU starting June 1 and also said Apple would face a 25% tariff on iPhones sold in the US but not made there.
This has led analysts to continue to predict that gold prices will maintain their upward momentum. Specifically, Kitco News' survey on gold price trends next week attracted 16 Wall Street analysts to participate, of which 13 people, accounting for 81%, said that gold prices will increase. The remaining 3 people, corresponding to 19%, said that the precious metal will move sideways and no opinion predicted that gold will reverse and decrease.
The bullish trend was also chosen by many individual investors in the Main Street survey. Of the 245 individual investors who participated in the survey, 155 people, or 63%, predicted that gold would continue to rise. However, 52 people, or 21%, thought that gold would fall, and the remaining 38 investors, or 14%, said that the precious metal would move sideways./.
