On May 6, at the Astana National Opera and Ballet Theatre in Astana, Kazakhstan, within the framework of his State visit to Kazakhstan, General Secretary To Lam, his wife Ngo Phuong Ly, and President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev attended the Vietnam-Kazakhstan friendship concert hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam, in coordination with the Ministry of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan.
The program was attended by high-ranking delegations from the two countries, the diplomatic corps in Astana, a large audience of Kazakhstanis and the Vietnamese community in the host country.
In his opening speech, Vietnamese Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung affirmed that the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Kazakhstan was founded by President Ho Chi Minh during his visit to the beautiful country of Kazakhstan in 1959.
Following the visit of the President of Kazakhstan to Vietnam in 2023, this historic visit of General Secretary To Lam to Kazakhstan has further strengthened the friendship between the two countries and officially upgraded the relationship to a Strategic Partnership, marking an important milestone in promoting bilateral cooperation in the coming period.
Evaluating the Vietnam-Kazakhstan friendship concert, Minister Nguyen Van Hung emphasized that the event is a vivid demonstration and an important milestone, contributing to strengthening the friendship and developing the strategic partnership between Vietnam and Kazakhstan.
According to Minister Nguyen Van Hung, art in general and music in particular have the mission of connecting and creating empathy because music is the echo of the soul and the voice of the heart.
The musical notes, lyrics, and sounds of the instruments in the concert created a symphony about the journey and aspiration to build Vietnam and Kazakhstan into strong and prosperous countries, and to further strengthen the traditional and loyal relationship.
Welcoming the Vietnamese art troupe, Kazakhstan's Minister of Culture and Information Aida Balayeva emphasized the significance of the Vietnam-Kazakhstan friendship concert.
The program is not only a manifestation of goodwill between the people of Kazakhstan and the people of Vietnam, but also a vivid demonstration of mutual respect and deep friendship between the leaders of the two countries.
