(Dan sinh) - On July 26, the Tien Giang Provincial Children's Fund in collaboration with the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education organized a handover ceremony of 2 Promotion of Education Homes for students with housing difficulties and good academic performance in Go Cong Dong district.

Attending were Ms. Dong Thi Bach Tuyet, President of the Provincial Association for the Promotion of Education; Mr. Le Van Be Chin, Director of the Provincial Children's Support Fund.

At Kinh Duoi Hamlet, Binh An Commune, the program presented a Learning Encouragement Shelter to Pham Hong Anh, an 8th grade student at Binh An Secondary School. The shelter has an area of 70 square meters, with a cement floor, corrugated iron roof, concrete pillars, etc.

The second learning encouragement shelter in Giong Lanh 1 hamlet, Tang Hoa commune was awarded to Doan Mong Hong Gam, an 8th grade student at Ho Van Nhanh Secondary School. The shelter is a level 4 house with an area of 60 square meters.

Each shelter is supported by the Provincial Children's Fund with 40 million VND. In addition to receiving the shelter, the children also receive many meaningful gifts from organizations and individuals...

On the same day, the delegation went to Tan Phu hamlet, Tan Thanh commune to conduct a survey and learn about the family situation of Ly Thi Huynh Nhu (student of grade 8/4, Vo Duy Linh Secondary School) to build a scholarship shelter.

Presenting 13 Savings books to policy families

On the afternoon of July 25, at the My Tho City People's Committee Hall, the My Tho City Policy Council held a ceremony to present Savings books to policy families in 2023. The program presented 13 Savings books (worth 20 million VND/book) to 13 policy families (including: sick soldiers, war invalids, families of martyrs, families with meritorious services to the revolution) in My Tho City. The total cost is 260 million VND.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Le Thi Be Phuong - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee, Chairman of the Policy Council of My Tho City emphasized: the value of each savings book is not large but shows the affection of the Party Committee, Government and people of My Tho City. This is the policy of the Party and State in caring for and helping families with preferential policies to show gratitude to heroic martyrs, people with revolutionary contributions... who have contributed to bringing independence and freedom to the country. Thereby, contributing to sharing and encouraging families with preferential policies and people with meritorious services to rise up in life. She hopes that the government, the front and organizations will continue to have practical activities to care for families with preferential policies and people with meritorious services...

It is known that the program's funding is drawn from the Gratitude Fund, contributed by cadres, civil servants, public employees, and people... This is a series of activities to celebrate the 76th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2023).
