Phase 2021-2024: Mobilized more than 236 billion VND for the Scholarship Fund

On the morning of October 1, the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education held a meeting to celebrate Vietnam's Education Promotion Day and review the implementation of 5 learning models under the program "Promoting lifelong learning movements in families, clans, communities, and units in the period 2021-2030" and "Building a model of learning citizens in the period 2021-2030". Attending the meeting was Vice President of the Central Vietnam Association for Promotion of Education Nguyen Hong Son.

The Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thai Nguyen province sent a bouquet of flowers to congratulate the Thai Nguyen Provincial Association for Promoting Education on the occasion of Vietnam's Day for Promoting Education.

Over the past 5 years, the implementation of 5 models: "Learning Family", "Learning Clan", "Learning Community", "Learning Unit" and "Learning Citizen" has created strong changes in building a learning society at the grassroots level.

By July 2025, the whole province had over 471,000 members of the learning promotion association, accounting for 26.1% of the population; 92 grassroots associations at the commune and ward levels were in operation. The organizational system was increasingly perfected, the learning promotion movement covered most schools, agencies and businesses.

In the 2021-2024 period, the whole province mobilized more than 236 billion VND from the Scholarship Fund, awarding tens of thousands of scholarships to poor students and excellent students who overcame difficulties. Creative fundraising models such as "Plastic piggy banks for scholarships", "Banana trees for scholarships"... were responded to by many localities. In addition, many large enterprises such as Samsung Electronics, Viettel , Danko, Nui Phao... maintain annual scholarships for students in the province.

Coordination between the Association for Promotion of Education and other political and social organizations is increasingly close, mobilizing resources to support learning to reach over 20 billion VND/year. Propaganda work is promoted with hundreds of news and articles in newspapers and television; many scientific seminars and conferences are organized, in which the most prominent are seminars on the topic of "Lifelong Learning" and the seminar "Encouraging Green Learning".

With the achieved results, Thai Nguyen Provincial Association for Promotion of Education was honored to receive the Second Class Labor Medal (2021), the Emulation Flag of the Prime Minister (2023) and many awards from the Central Association and the Provincial People's Committee.

At the meeting, typical individuals of the models discussed and shared their experiences, spreading the spirit of lifelong learning, creating motivation to promote the movement of encouraging learning and talent to develop strongly at the grassroots level.

Speaking at the program, comrade Nguyen Hong Son, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education, suggested that the Thai Nguyen Association for Promoting Education continue to innovate the content and methods of operation. At the same time, promote the application of digital technology in evaluating and implementing learning models, aiming to build Thai Nguyen into a "learning province", where the spirit of lifelong learning spreads in every family, clan, community, unit and every citizen.

Collectives and individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education.

On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education awarded the "For the cause of promoting education" Medal to 12 officials and members of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Association for Promoting Education for their active contributions to the cause of promoting education, promoting talents, and building a learning society; awarded Certificates of Merit to 2 groups and 18 individuals. The Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 8 groups and 4 individuals; the Provincial Association for Promoting Education awarded 18 groups and 14 outstanding individuals in the movement to build learning models for the period 2021-2025.
