Issuing the 2024 - 2025 school year time plan framework for preschooleducation , general education and continuing education in Hai Phong city

(Haiphong.gov.vn) – The City People's Committee has just issued Decision 2826/QD-UBND on promulgating the 2024-2025 school year time plan framework for preschool education, general education and continuing education in Hai Phong city.
Specifically, the earliest school start date is August 29, 2024. For Grade 1, the earliest school start date is August 22, 2024. The opening ceremony and the day for all children to go to school will be held on September 5, 2024.
Semester I: from September 6, 2024 to January 18, 2025, ensuring 18 weeks of actual study; Semester II: from January 18, 2025 to May 25, 2025, ensuring 17 weeks of actual study. End of the school year before May 31, 2025. Complete enrollment for first-grade classes before July 31, 2025.
For the Graduation Exams and Examinations, National Excellent Student Selection Exams (according to the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training ); High School Graduation Exams in 2025 (expected to take place on June 26 and 27, 2025 and according to the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training); National Science and Technology Exams (according to the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training); Examination for recognition of completion of the Primary School program and examination for recognition of graduation from Secondary School before June 30, 2025; Admission to Grade 10 of High School for the 2025-2026 school year to be completed before July 31, 2025. Holidays and Tet holidays are implemented according to the provisions of the Labor Code and annual guidance documents.
In this Decision, the City People's Committee assigns the Director of the Department of Education and Training to decide, based on the specific situation, to let students take time off from school in case of extreme weather, natural disasters and arrange make-up classes according to regulations. Ensure teachers' time off during the school year. The time to return to school early and the time to extend the school year shall not exceed 15 days compared to the regulations in Article 1 of this Decision to ensure the implementation and completion of preschool education, general education and continuing education programs in case of natural disasters and epidemics; at the same time, report to the Ministry of Education and Training for special cases arising before implementation./.
