The Vietnamese sports delegation is firmly in second place on the SEA Games 33 medal table with 28 gold medals, 22 silver medals, and 45 bronze medals.

Currently, the host nation Thailand is leading with 72 gold medals, 48 ​​silver medals, and 30 bronze medals. Thailand has won a total of 150 medals at the 33rd SEA Games. Thailand's number of gold medals is more than the combined total of gold medals from Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore, and the Philippines.

The Vietnamese sports delegation is currently ranked second with 28 gold medals, 22 silver medals, and 45 bronze medals. The Vietnamese delegation has now surpassed the 95-medal mark at the 33rd SEA Games.

Indonesia is ranked third in the overall medal standings. The Indonesian team currently holds a total of 24 gold medals, 31 silver medals, and 29 bronze medals.

The Singapore sports delegation, with 15 gold medals, 16 silver medals, and 19 bronze medals, is currently ranked fourth.

Following closely behind were the sports delegations from the Philippines, Malaysia, and Myanmar. Notably, the Laotian sports delegation won 1 gold medal, 1 silver medal, and 13 bronze medals at the 33rd SEA Games.

Meanwhile, Brunei won 1 silver medal and 4 bronze medals, and Timor Leste secured 2 bronze medals.

The 33rd SEA Games will take place from December 9th to 20th at three main venues: Chonburi, Bangkok, and Songkhla. This year's Games are expected to have approximately 9,366 athletes competing in 50 sports.
