The third qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup will take place from March 25, 2025 to March 31, 2026.

This stage includes 24 teams, divided into 6 groups, each group has 4 teams. The teams will compete in a round-robin (home and away) to determine the top 6 teams in each group to directly participate in the 2027 Asian Cup Finals.

In the third qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup, coach Kim Sang Sik and his team are in Group F with Malaysia, Nepal and Laos. As the reigning ASEAN Cup champions, the Vietnam national team is considered the number 1 candidate for a ticket to the qualifying round of this group.
