Faced with the increasing situation of counterfeit goods, fake goods, trade fraud and smuggling with sophisticated tricks, from central to local media agencies, from print newspapers, electronic newspapers to television and radio, journalists have been working hard every day, continuously exposing the tricks of dishonest businessmen. They quietly follow the scene, investigate, and trace the chains and counterfeit products that are infiltrating consumers' lives, contributing to the explosion of inspection and suppression campaigns from the grassroots to e-commerce.

For Bac Lieu province, local press reporters also do not hesitate to join specialized and interdisciplinary inspection teams day and night to remote areas to inspect and control the market. Thereby, promptly providing information, images, and videos on violations of BL, GLTM&HG, exposing large-scale production and consumption chains of counterfeit and unknown origin goods. Propagating to people the signs to recognize genuine products, counterfeit and smuggled goods; equipping people with the necessary knowledge to protect themselves from the risk of buying poor quality goods.

In the context of strong e-commerce development, the press has also promptly warned about the sophisticated tricks of those who produce and trade counterfeit goods online. Articles analyzing fraudulent tricks, "fake" e-commerce platforms, and false advertising have helped consumers raise their vigilance and authorities take appropriate measures to prevent and handle them.

“In recent times, media and press agencies have made significant contributions to the effectiveness of propaganda work and the fight against counterfeit, pirated and substandard goods in the province. Through press information, people can understand the harmful effects of using counterfeit and poor quality goods, thereby voluntarily not buying, selling or using counterfeit goods…”, commented Mr. Nguyen Minh Trung - Head of the Provincial Market Management Department.
