Thai Binh Electricity Company is replacing transformers to ensure stable and safe power supply.
According to the assessment of Thai Binh Electricity Company, this year's hot season will increase the demand for electricity for production and daily life. Therefore, right from the first months of the year, the Company has directed the electricity departments of districts and cities to develop plans and prepare solutions to ensure stable electricity supply for production for businesses and people's daily life. In particular, strengthening the inspection and review of the entire power grid to promptly detect risks of incidents, promptly assess the load status of transformers, on that basis, have appropriate adjustment, load sharing, and rotation plans, avoiding overloading that causes power grid incidents. Strengthening the work of direct leadership, direct operation and repair of electricity, strictly following the on-duty regime, ensuring smooth communication systems, and arranging adequate supplies when incidents occur. When a power grid incident or extreme weather occurs, it is necessary to carry out the steps in a sequence according to the plan for quick incident handling, isolate the incident area, promptly mobilize human and material resources, quickly handle the incident, and minimize the time of power outage for customers. Deploy clearing corridors to ensure safety of power lines; renovate and repair power sources and grids; deploy the work of completing repairs of medium and low voltage grids to reduce power loss on the grid, increase the capacity of transformer stations at risk of overload... Along with that, regularly monitor the grid situation and update electricity demand, develop plans to supply electricity to loads. Prepare response plans for the possibility of local power shortages due to incidents and extreme weather.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Director of Thai Binh Power Company, said: To ensure stable and continuous power supply during this year's hot season, in addition to investing and renovating to prevent grid overload, putting 4 110kV transformer stations into operation will be a relatively stable power source for load components in the province, with little possibility of having to cut loads due to lack of power. Deploying additional replacement of over 300 old transformers. In addition, the Company has applied new technologies such as cleaning insulators, repairing grids without power outages to increase labor productivity, improve power supply reliability, and reduce power outage time. In addition to investing in upgrading the power grid system, Thai Binh Power Company also strengthens the inspection of all equipment in the 110kV station, applies supporting technology equipment to inspect busbar contact points, circuit breakers, transformers, measure the load at peak and off-peak times of the day and conduct phase balancing when the load is unbalanced. Coordinate with industrial customers to inspect power transformers in industrial parks and industrial clusters. Periodically organize cleaning and inspection of contact equipment on 35kV and 22kV busbars indoors at all 16 110kV transformer stations... Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, Deputy Director of Vu Thu Power Company said: Implementing the direction of Thai Binh Power Company in ensuring power supply during the hot season, Vu Thu Power Company has deployed 19 overload-proof transformer stations with a total capacity of 5,590kVA; Constructing 28.7km of new low-voltage lines to connect to the grid and share the load for 27 transformer stations operating at full load during peak hours. Renovating and upgrading 13.4km of medium-voltage lines, constructing 2 loop lines, 2 internal loop lines, installing 8 new LBS load isolation switches with remote control. Increasing capacity, internally rotating 55 transformers to suitable areas. Developing a plan to repair 400V lines of overloaded transformer stations, poor quality lines...
Thai Binh Electricity Company recommends that customers have a plan to use electricity safely, economically and effectively, especially not to use large loads at the same time during peak hours to avoid incidents. Encourage customers to use rooftop solar power and energy-saving devices. The electricity industry hopes to have close coordination with local authorities to strictly handle the situation of flying kites that violate the safety corridor of the power grid; mobilize and propagate people to comply with regulations on ensuring the safety of the power grid corridor, and resolutely handle cases of intentional violations.
