Market vision when merging

The preparation for the merger of two provinces, from the perspective of businessmen, is an expansion of development space, a catalyst for the business community to form a new vision, dare to think big and act in depth. During the meeting, exchange, and sharing of experiences in developing together when merging two provinces, Mr. Do Van Ve, Chairman of the Thai Binh Provincial Business Association shared: As the core force in economic development, we, businessmen and businesses, must be pioneers, unite, and cooperate to create new strength to break through and develop together. The business community together activates a completely new regional economic ecosystem that is about to open up. Obviously, while the administrative apparatus is preparing to enter the merger phase, businesses have begun to transform, they see a larger market, a more efficient supply network, a more synchronously connected labor and infrastructure area.

It is not only when Thai Binh and Hung Yen are merged that businesses are looking for new investment and development opportunities. In recent years, many businesses and businessmen in Thai Binh have invested in expanding their production scale in Hung Yen and vice versa. A typical example is the spinning factory project of Tra Ly Fiber Joint Stock Company in My Hao district (Hung Yen) with a total investment of nearly 700 billion VND. This factory not only has a high investment rate but also has the most modern technology and automated machinery in the Vietnamese fiber industry. Or the largest garment project in Thai Binh province today is Tan De Company invested by businessman Nguyen Tien Phuong (a son of Hung Yen). Each year, the project brings in nearly 400 million USD in export turnover for Thai Binh and creates jobs and stable income for more than 15,000 workers. This is the result of the strategic vision of entrepreneurs, they recognize the potential and advantages of each locality and quickly grasp them, creating breakthroughs for development.

At the meeting between businesses of the two localities, many businessmen shared the same opinion: despite different economic structures, Thai Binh and Hung Yen can be considered two complementary pieces. Hung Yen is strong in light industry, logistics, close to Hanoi and has a developed trade. Meanwhile, Thai Binh possesses strengths in energy, processing industry, agriculture and high-tech industry, especially the advantage of the marine economy. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Ha, Chairwoman of the Hung Yen Provincial Business Association, shared: Hung Yen enterprises are mainly small and medium-sized. But when space opens up and the market expands, we will have the opportunity to grow because we have access to areas that we have never tried before, such as supporting industry, cross-regional logistics or logistics services for the marine economy. According to Ms. Ha, the important thing is not geographical location, but the ability to cooperate. And in the new economic zone, no one should stay out of the game if they know how to connect and share resources with each other.

No connection, no growth

Linkage is a keyword that has been emphasized many times, but never as specific as in the perspective of Mr. Doan Van Hoa, Chairman of the Tourism Association of Hung Yen province. He said: The two localities have many craft villages, OCOP products, relics, landscapes... but they have not been exploited effectively, due to lack of capital, lack of management, lack of connection. If we link up and join together, businesses can both sell products and tell the story of the brand, culture and people of each homeland. Tourism economy, indigenous products, green economy, all have room when businesses know how to "touch" core values and connect the supply chain. Thai Binh and Hung Yen share the Red River and Luoc River, so there is no shortage of potential; what remains is a real and synchronous linkage strategy to awaken the potential of regional linkage and create development opportunities for each business.

No one can go it alone in the era of deep and comprehensive integration like today. And for businesses, a strong intermediary organization like a business association that speaks the voice of business people, knows how to criticize policies, knows how to support and connect is a condition for survival. Businesses of the two localities share the same aspiration: the new Hung Yen Provincial Business Association will not only be a place for members to register, but also a real organization, a place to share knowledge, promote investment, trade, protect interests, support digital transformation and become a companion of business people from start-up to reaching the international market.
