Leaders of Hong Dung commune (Thai Thuy) presented funding to support house repairs to Mr. Bui Dinh Chinh, Van Don village, Hong Dung commune.
Mr. Bui Dinh Chinh, Van Don village, Hong Dung commune is a single-parent poor household with extremely difficult circumstances. Therefore, he is on the list of local Party Committees and authorities supporting the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses. Mr. Chinh confided: Due to lack of economic conditions, I have to live in a cramped, seriously degraded house, with a leaky roof every time it rains. Thanks to the provincial Fatherland Front's support of 100 million VND, the commune's "For the Poor" fund supporting 5 million VND, and the help of labor days from my clan brothers and neighbors, I have built a solid house, with an area of 35m2 , worth over 250 million VND. Having a new house, I am so happy that I can't sleep. I would like to thank the Party Committee, authorities, Fatherland Front and organizations for their attention and support so that I can have this dream house.
Hong Dung Commune has 14 poor, near-poor households and policy families eligible for financial support to remove temporary and dilapidated houses, including 12 new constructions and 2 repairs. Currently, 6 houses have been repaired and rebuilt. Mr. Pham Van Thanh, Secretary of the Party Committee of Hong Dung Commune, said: During the implementation process, there was a very special case, which would be very difficult to implement without support. Specifically, the case of Ms. Nguyen Thi Than, Luu Don village, lives alone and has no land to live on. When implementing this policy, the locality mobilized her family to separate her residential land plot; supported her in carrying out administrative procedures in dividing the plot and issuing a new land use right certificate. Thanks to that, Ms. Than has land that meets the legal conditions to receive support for house repairs. To date, her house has been completed. Along with focusing on solving difficulties and problems, the commune regularly inspects, urges and supervises the implementation of new construction and repair of houses, ensuring that households use funds for the right purposes. At the same time, the commune's Fatherland Front allocates the "For the Poor" fund to support 5 million VND/newly built or repaired house; mobilizes cadres, civil servants, mass organizations, and people to support labor days and available materials to support households in building houses. With that approach, the locality has mobilized the entire political system and people to carry out the peak emulation campaign "300 days of joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" launched by the province.
In Nghia Phong village, Thuan Thanh commune, Ms. Pham Thi Nu is urgently completing the house. Ms. Nu shared: The construction workers are focusing on finishing the floor. The house was built with a total budget of more than 100 million VND. Of which, the State supported 100 million VND, the remaining amount the family borrowed to make the house solid. The house is about 85% completed, expected to be completed in 10 days. I am determined to complete the house in May. The new house is spacious and sturdy, I will no longer have to worry about accommodation when it rains or is windy. Mr. Luu Tien Chinh, Chairman of Thuan Thanh Commune People's Committee, said: The commune has 20 poor households and policy families with dilapidated, degraded houses that need support to build new and repair. The commune has mobilized the entire political system to support "Whoever has something to contribute, whoever has merit contributes, whoever has property contributes" to ensure the "3 hard" criteria. Currently, 16 households have completed new construction and house repairs. The commune is urging the remaining households to speed up construction progress and strive to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses before June 10, 2025.
These days, the entire political system of Thai Thuy district is focusing on the implementation of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households and policy families. The houses are gradually being completed, creating a new look for rural areas, contributing to building a solid "people's hearts and minds" position. By May 27, more than 240 newly built and repaired houses had been completed; 70 houses are still being completed. To ensure the progress of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses before June 10, 2025, the steering committees of communes and towns have both implemented construction and resolved difficulties for households; regularly inspected and urged, requiring that right from the review stage, the accuracy and no overlap between the supported subjects be ensured. New houses are appearing in the countryside, lighting up the belief in housing for the poor and disadvantaged. This is not only the result of a competition, but also a symbol of the spirit of solidarity, responsibility and affection of the Party Committee, government and people of Thai Thuy on the journey of leaving no one behind.
The house of Ms. Pham Thi Nu, Nghia Phong village, Thuan Thanh commune is being urgently completed, expected to be handed over in May 2025.
