On the morning of June 1, at Vinh Thanh beach, Phu Vang district, Hue City People's Committee coordinated with the Political Department of Military Region 4 and the Youth Union of the Army to organize a rally in response to World Environment Day on June 5; Vietnam Sea and Islands Week from June 1 to 8 and launched the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign "Youth with the sea and islands of the homeland" in 2025.



Immediately after the rally, nearly 1,000 cadres, union members, youth, Hue city residents and military and border guards participated in the event "Hue Plogging 2025 - Green footprints, clean plastic sea" taking place at Vinh Thanh and An Hai beaches (Thuan An ward, Thuan Hoa district, Hue city), Dam Chuon (Phu An commune, Phu Vang district, Hue city) and Ngu My Thanh fishing village - Con Toc ferry (Quang Loi commune, Quang Dien district, Hue city).
Through the event, we aim to change community behavior by running for health combined with picking up trash for the environment, contributing to spreading the message of environmental protection, raising public awareness of plastic waste and promoting waste classification at source for a greener - cleaner - more beautiful - sustainable Hue city every day.


On this occasion, the Hue City People's Committee presented 40 public recycling bins following the Green Sunday model to 5 coastal wards and communes in the locality. The Military Region 4 Command presented the "100 Dong House" worth 80 million VND to Senior Lieutenant Ho Van Tu, an officer of Regiment 19, Division 968, Military Region 4. In addition, 10 fishing families were presented with national flags, life jackets and gifts; 10 excellent students who overcame difficulties in Vinh Thanh commune received gifts from the organizing committee.
