CT scan results showed that the patient had pneumothorax, right hemothorax, right liver rupture, right diaphragmatic injury, and left tibia injury.
The emergency team performed endotracheal intubation and continued resuscitation and pleural drainage. The patient was immediately transferred to the operating room with the coordination of many specialists. The surgery ended at 0:00 on June 3.
The patient is being monitored after surgery.
According to Dr. Vo Cong Khanh, Department of Gastroenterology, Cho Ray Hospital, up to now, the patient is being monitored and treated with internal medicine, vital signs are stable. It is expected that in about 1 week, the patient's condition will stabilize and he will be discharged from the hospital if eligible.
Earlier, on the afternoon of June 2, a thunderstorm collapsed an 8-meter-high concrete wall of a construction site in Long An , killing two people on the spot. The remaining victim was taken to Ho Chi Minh City for emergency treatment.
