In the first 5 months of 2025, budget revenue reached nearly 1,140 trillion VND, an increase of 24.5%

According to data released by the General Statistics Office on the morning of June 6, the total state budget revenue in May 2025 is estimated at 172.4 trillion VND.

Cumulative total state budget revenue in the first five months of 2025 is estimated at VND 1,139.6 trillion, equal to 57.9% of the year's estimate and up 24.5% over the same period last year.

Of which, domestic revenue is estimated at VND987.5 trillion, equal to 59.2% of the annual estimate and up 27.6% over the same period last year; revenue from crude oil is estimated at VND22.5 trillion, equal to 42.2% of the annual estimate and down 9.1%; budget balance revenue from import-export activities is estimated at VND129.2 trillion, equal to 55% of the annual estimate and up 10.6%.

Total state budget expenditure in May is estimated at 235.1 trillion VND; accumulated expenditure in the first 5 months of 2025 is estimated at 833.8 trillion VND, equal to 32.7% of the annual estimate and up 27.7% over the same period last year.

Of which, regular expenditure is estimated at VND585.5 trillion, equal to 37.3% of the annual estimate and up 27.1% over the same period last year; development investment expenditure is VND199.3 trillion, equal to 25.2% and up 38.8%; debt interest payment is VND47.7 trillion, equal to 43.1% and up 0.4%.

State budget expenditures ensure the needs of socio -economic development, national defense, security, state management, payment of due debts as well as timely payment according to regulations.
