Hanoi establishes Organizing Committee for National Day Celebration, Parade, and March on September 2

On June 6, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh signed Decision No. 2833/QD-UBND on the establishment of the Organizing Committee for the Ceremony, Parade, and Marching Ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) of Hanoi city.

The decision clearly states that the Head of the Organizing Committee is comrade Tran Sy Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee.

The Organizing Committee directs the organization of activities of Hanoi city and the preparation work for the organization of the Celebration Ceremony, parade, and march to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the success of the August Revolution, the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam according to the Project of the Central Steering Committee and the Plan of the City People's Committee; Report to the Central Steering Committee and the City Party Committee on the content and progress of the Celebration Ceremony, parade, and march. The Organizing Committee works on a part-time basis and dissolves itself after completing its tasks. The Decision takes effect from the date of signing.

As reported by Hanoi Moi Newspaper, on May 20, Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh chaired a meeting to listen to a report on preparations for organizing the above activities.

The event to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2) is a national-level event taking place in Hanoi and is of special significance in the current period. In order to effectively carry out the tasks and proactively organize these important activities, the City People's Committee directs units and localities to carry out related tasks.
