Handing over Red Cross houses to 3 poor households in Song Phung commune

STO - On the morning of June 1, the Soc Trang Provincial Red Cross Association coordinated with the Long Phu District Red Cross Association to organize the inauguration ceremony of the Red Cross house for 3 disadvantaged households in Song Phung Commune, Long Phu District (Soc Trang). Attending the ceremony were Mr. Do Van Tuan - Chairman of the Provincial Red Cross Association; leaders of the Tan Binh District Red Cross Association (Ho Chi Minh City) and the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Red Cross Association and local authorities.

After the construction period, up to now, the Red Cross houses have been completed and handed over to the families including: Mr. Huynh Van Ut, Mrs. Dang Thi Tuyet, Mrs. Tran Thu Thuy, all 3 households are in difficult circumstances, with concerns about housing in Song Phung commune, Long Phu district (Soc Trang).

The houses handed over this time were connected and donated by the Soc Trang Provincial Red Cross Society, mobilizing donors; in which, the Tan Binh District Red Cross Society ( Ho Chi Minh City) sponsored 2 houses, the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Red Cross Society sponsored 1 house, each house worth 70 million VND.

This is an activity in response to the “Humanitarian Month” in 2025 and continues to promote the campaign “Each organization, each individual is associated with a humanitarian address” to help people in difficult circumstances have stable housing. Thereby, it also demonstrates the spirit of mutual love, the rich help the poor of the community and contributes to the implementation of social security work in the area.
