On June 4, at the meeting on the socio -economic situation in May 2025, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Tran Hong Thai criticized the leaders of the departments assigned to directly survey 155 out of 203 slow-progressing projects in the area to remove difficulties, but most of the delegation leaders did not directly inspect.

Specifically, the interdisciplinary delegation No. 1 led by Mr. Nguyen Tran Nhat Huy, Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Investment (formerly known as the Department of Finance), was assigned to inspect 45 projects. The delegation leader did not physically inspect the projects.
Similarly, the second interdisciplinary team led by Mr. Nguyen Van Duc, Deputy Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment (formerly known as the Department of Agriculture and Environment), was assigned to inspect 21 projects. The interdisciplinary team inspected 18/21 projects, but the team leader did not preside over the inspection of any project.
Interdisciplinary delegation No. 4, led by Mr. Vu Dinh Cuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of the province (formerly), was assigned to inspect 36 projects. However, the delegation did not conduct field inspections on 21/36 projects, in which the delegation leader did not inspect any of the assigned projects.
Interdisciplinary delegation No. 5 led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, was assigned to inspect 36 projects. The delegation leader only inspected 9 projects, the rest were assigned to departments to inspect.

Previously, on February 13, 2025, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Tran Hong Thai signed Decision No. 259/QD-UBND on the establishment of 7 interdisciplinary delegations led by leaders of departments and branches to inspect and review 155/203 projects. Up to now, 60 projects have been resolved by the Provincial People's Committee (7 projects have completely ceased operations; 3 projects have partially ceased operations/stopped operations; 7 projects have adjusted progress; 23 projects have been transferred to departments and branches for review); 108 projects are being considered by the Provincial People's Committee for resolution...
According to the head of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, the fact that the leaders of the departments delegated authority to their subordinates, even without checking, and then waiting for the reports sent by the enterprises to be compiled led to the situation where the quality of the inspection results was not high, many comments were general and inaccurate. Many projects have not carefully assessed the objective and subjective causes of slow progress, and have not clarified the role and responsibility of the investor in the slow implementation of the project.
“In addition to calling for new investment, with the total registered investment capital of 203 projects behind schedule being more than 40,000 billion VND, this is a huge amount of money to attract, removing difficulties, and clearing up projects that have been approved for investment will create a huge leverage for Lam Dong province,” said Mr. Tran Hong Thai.
Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Tran Hong Thai emphasized that there is still a situation of pushing and avoiding in advising and proposing the Provincial People's Committee to handle projects that are behind schedule. At the same time, he assigned units to evaluate and carefully analyze the implementation of projects, including clearly assessing the financial capacity and determination of investors to implement the project.
