The Vietnamese team and the Malaysian team will have a decisive match on June 10, within the framework of the third qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup. Before this match, Malaysia has a few more naturalized players.

Regarding these players, the ASEAN Football website, which specializes in Southeast Asian football, shared: “The Malaysian national team has many new naturalized players. The latest players to be naturalized by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) are Imanol Machuca, a winger born in Argentina, and center-back Facundo Garces.
Facundo Garces is also of Argentine origin. Malaysia’s addition of Facundo Garces helps strengthen the defense, just before the Malaysian team returns to the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers. Facundo Garces is currently playing in Europe, playing for Alaves (Spain),” ASEAN Football added.
Meanwhile, the Malaysian media did not confirm any information related to the new naturalized players of Harimau Malaya (the nickname of the Malaysian team). It seems that the media of this country is trying to "create confusion" before the Vietnamese team.

Malaysia's New Straits Times wrote: "Regarding the situation of the newly naturalized players rumored to join the Malaysian team, before the match with the Vietnamese team on June 10, there is currently no certainty."
“Malaysia national team head coach Peter Cklamovski (Australian-Macedonian) refused to confirm, but he also did not deny reports that there are at least three brand new naturalised players, preparing to play for Harimau Malaya.
The Australian strategist also stated that some names rumored to be new naturalized players, mentioned by other media channels, were completely unfamiliar to him,” the New Straits Times added.
Not stopping there, Malaysia's leading English daily also quoted coach Peter Cklamovski: "There are many names mentioned by the media, but among them are people I have never seen. People keep asking me about the new naturalized players."
“First of all, I am grateful that there are more and more questions about the team, about the composition of the Malaysian team, it reflects that the fans are very interested in us. This is a special thing about Malaysian football.
However, among the above questions, there are questions that are simply speculation, not information. In fact, the person asking about naturalized players knows more about those players than I do," coach Peter Cklamovski affirmed.
