Weak cash flow, stocks turn to decline

(Dan Tri) - Foreign transactions today recorded a net selling of nearly 500 billion VND, in which STB was the code with the strongest selling, up to more than 117 billion VND.

At the end of the trading session on June 5, VN-Index recorded a decrease of 3.65 points, equivalent to 0.27%, to 1,342 points. VN30-Index also decreased by 2.9 points; HNX-Index increased by 0.36 points; UPCoM-Index decreased by 0.14 points.

In the whole market, the total value of matched transactions reached more than 17,300 billion VND. The board has a clear differentiation with 137 codes increasing in price; 53 codes standing at the reference price and 165 codes decreasing in price.

Notably, REE shares of Refrigeration Electrical Engineering Corporation increased sharply and hit the ceiling price of VND77,300/share in the last 30 minutes of the session. Liquidity of this code recorded more than VND161.4 billion, equivalent to more than 2.16 million shares changed hands, mainly matched at the ceiling price.

REE is the code that contributed the second most increase to VN-Index (Screenshot).

REE has positive developments after the company announced that it is preparing to close the shareholder list to pay 2024 dividends in shares, at a rate of 15%. Accordingly, shareholders owning 100 shares will receive 15 new shares.

Thus, with more than 471 million listed shares, Refrigeration Electrical Engineering plans to issue an additional 70.7 million shares to pay dividends and these shares will not be subject to transfer restrictions.

Foreign investors net sold nearly 500 billion VND today. STB was the stock that foreign investors sold the most with a value of more than 117 billion VND. Following that, Vingroup stocks VHM and VIC were net sold for 72 billion VND and 58 billion VND respectively. In addition, codes such as VIX, DXG, HDB were also "dumped" for more than 50 billion VND.
