On May 28, Hai Long was one of the outstanding players in the Southeast Asian All-Star team, when welcoming Man Utd Club at Bukit Jalil Stadium in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia).

“I am very happy to receive positive comments from everyone after the match against Man Utd. But I know where I am. My goal and the whole team's goal is the upcoming match against Malaysia,” Hai Long affirmed.
The player currently playing for Hanoi FC believes that the Vietnamese team will overcome the pressure at Bukit Jalil Stadium with nearly 100,000 home fans: "As a professional player, any stadium is the same. The most important thing is to focus and try to contribute to the overall play to help the team win."
Preparing for the crucial match with Malaysia in Group F, the Vietnamese team arrived in Kuala Lumpur at noon on June 6, then entered the first training session in the afternoon of the same day.
Hai Long said he and his teammates are in good spirits: “Although the journey is long and tiring, we are very excited when we go to the training ground. Everything here is fine.”
Malaysia has many new additions, especially naturalized players. However, Hai Long said that the Vietnamese coaching staff has carefully analyzed: “We respect all opponents, but the important thing is that the whole team must focus on their own playing style.
Playing away from home is very difficult, but the Vietnamese team is eager to extend their unbeaten streak against Malaysia and aim to win all 3 points."
Regarding the first training session of the Vietnamese team on the afternoon of June 6, all players were in good health and spirit. Coach Kim Sang Sik had the team warm up gently before starting tactical exercises. Aiming to win all 3 points, the "Golden Star Warriors" have carefully prepared their tactics.
The match between Malaysia and Vietnam will take place at 8:00 p.m. (Vietnam time) on June 10 at Bukit Jalil Stadium, Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia).
