President Ho Chi Minh was not only a genius leader of the Vietnamese people, an outstanding soldier of the world revolutionary movement, but also a great journalist, the founder and leader of the country's revolutionary press.
For 19 years, from 1951 - the year Nhan Dan Newspaper published its first issue - to 1969, especially before each major event of the country, Nhan Dan Newspaper was always honored to publish his articles on all fields of politics , economics, culture, society, security, defense and foreign affairs, which were of interest to many readers, bought, researched and kept as documents.
During his revolutionary activities, he wrote about 2,000 articles, of which more than 1,200 were published in Nhan Dan Newspaper.

Through his writings, we see more clearly the Party's viewpoints and policies in both domestic and foreign affairs; we see clearly the principles and methods of revolutionary journalism.
Journalist Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, expressed his emotion at Uncle Ho's journalistic works. He shared: "Each of his articles, regardless of the circumstances, is filled with a burning desire, inspiring the masses in building the homeland and the country; like a guiding light, guiding journalists to firmly hold their pens and rush into difficult and arduous places, creating valuable journalistic works, carrying the breath of life, encouraging and spreading beauty, fighting and eliminating all bad habits, building a better and better society."

Because of the extremely valuable theoretical and practical values of those journalistic works, in 2016, Nhan Dan Newspaper selected his articles from 1951 to 1969, and printed them into a three-volume book called Uncle Ho's Articles in Nhan Dan Newspaper . The book series was highly appreciated and enthusiastically received by many readers as documents. This was also an opportunity for Party journalists to express their deep gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh.
According to the wishes of many readers and based on Plan No. 28-KH/BTGVDVTW dated April 4, 2025 of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission on organizing the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, Nhan Dan Newspaper was assigned to select articles by President Ho Chi Minh on culture and journalism to be published in Nhan Dan Newspaper; coordinate with the National Political Publishing House Truth to print a book entitled Uncle Ho's Articles on Culture and Journalism in Nhan Dan Newspaper.
With more than 500 pages, the book systematically collects articles on this topic by President Ho Chi Minh, the founder of Vietnam's revolutionary journalism, for readers to easily follow and research.

According to Journalist Vu Mai Hoang, Head of the Technology Department of Nhan Dan Newspaper, although the idea of collecting Uncle Ho's articles on culture and journalism in Nhan Dan Newspaper has been brewing for a long time, it has only been published now, due to many difficulties in the process of collecting documents.
“Nhan Dan Newspaper relies on the existing archives of the Newspaper, along with the collection and compilation of books, newspapers and the National Library. This is the passion, sentiment and gratitude of the collective of Nhan Dan Newspaper staff,” shared journalist Vu Mai Hoang.

Introducing the book "Uncle Ho's articles on culture and journalism in Nhan Dan Newspaper" is an important activity of Nhan Dan Newspaper in a series of events taking place at the 2025 National Press Festival. This is a practical work to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press, to honor and express gratitude for the contributions of President Ho Chi Minh, the great teacher of the country's journalism; at the same time, helping readers once again grasp more firmly the guidelines, viewpoints and policies of our Party on all fields of the country, and better understand the eternal value of Ho Chi Minh's thoughts on revolutionary journalism through his articles. Especially for the team of journalists, this will be a valuable companion document in their journalism career.

Visiting the 2025 National Press Festival, Private Nguyen Hai Ha and soldiers of the Armored Battalion, Hanoi Capital Command could not help but be moved. He shared: “We were born when the country was no longer at war. That is thanks to the contributions of previous generations. History is a sacred thing that we must always keep in mind. Among them, there is the great contribution of the great President Ho Chi Minh. Books like the ones introduced by Nhan Dan Newspaper today are valuable sources of information for us to better understand our beloved Uncle Ho, to better understand a difficult but heroic period of the nation. Thereby, we further strengthen our faith in the leadership of the Party, nurturing noble ideals for ourselves.”
Hopefully, the book will meet the expectations of readers and will be a useful document in studying Ho Chi Minh's ideology in general and revolutionary journalism in particular, so that journalists can truly be soldiers on the ideological front, accompanying the nation in the era of striving for development for the goal of a rich people, a strong country, democracy, fairness, and civilization.
