Nguyen Dynasty Royal Palace Museum and 54 Ethnic Jewelry Museum

On the afternoon of June 15, the Museum of Jewelry of 54 Vietnamese Ethnic Groups and the Nguyen Dynasty Royal Palace Museum were officially launched in Ho Chi Minh City.

At the Museum of Jewelry of 54 Vietnamese Ethnic Groups, thousands of ancient jewelry sets and traditional costumes of 54 ethnic groups are displayed.

The artifacts are quite diverse and rich, including necklaces, earrings, bracelets, rings, etc., along with colorful ethnic costumes with patterns.

All are original artifacts dating from thousands of years to the 20th century, crafted from materials such as: gold, silver, jade, ivory, amber, agate, quartz, lapis lazuli, crystal, pearl, mother-of-pearl, tortoiseshell...

The Nguyen Dynasty Royal Palace Museum displays artifacts of the Nguyen Dynasty royal family, from jewelry used daily by princes and princesses to items used for the operation of the royal court, furniture, and personal items.

Notably, the medical museum has many rare and valuable artifacts, such as the antiques of King Kien Phuc (one of the three kings with a very short reign). These antiques were recently auctioned by Mr. Do Hung from France.

The Museum of Jewelry of 54 Vietnamese Ethnic Groups and the Nguyen Dynasty Royal Palace Museum are two private museums within the Do Hung Museum system, located at 68 Nguyen Hue, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.

Of which, the Museum of Jewelry of 54 Vietnamese Ethnic Groups is located on the ground floor, and the Nguyen Dynasty Royal Palace Museum is located on the 8th and 9th floors of the building.

With over 30 years of collecting and researching antiques, Mr. Do Hung said that it took him and his team more than 6 months to build these two museums. The initial investment cost was over 15 billion VND.

The two museums will open on June 6, 2024, and will be open from 9am to 10pm.
