Her character Sarah meets David (Colin Farrell) at a wedding reception in the pouring rain and the two lonely people suddenly have a strange connection. They are reunited miraculously, when David's car GPS guides him to Sarah and the two embark on a mysterious journey where they confront their past, their memories and themselves, leading to a deeper connection.
The movie has very beautiful frames.
The film offers picturesque scenes, with a gentle pace like a high school movie, except that the two main characters are long past high school age. However, they are still full of excitement and eagerness when they decide to open that strange door in the middle of the forest, knowing that on the other side is a magical journey, a mysterious world waiting for them.
Entering a new space, but David felt “like he had been here before”. It seemed that was the moment he realized that this “world” seemed to be his past, a past that was perhaps not complete with many regrets when he hesitantly stood before the door to high school. But Sarah held his hand and encouraged him “it’s okay”. They supported each other’s emotions, together reliving the awkward moments like being rejected from their first love. The first collaboration between Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell is expected to create a promising couple chemistry on the big screen. No longer the bold Harley Quinn or the perfect haughty doll, Margot Robbie with her gentle appearance and signature honey blonde hair will bring a sweet but also humorous Sarah.
Colin Farrell, after his impressive role in "After Yang", continues to collaborate with director Kogonada in this project, expected to portray a David full of depth, but also full of confidences.
