On the morning of April 28, the Investigation Police Agency of An Giang Provincial Police executed the decisions to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and issue temporary detention orders against 2 accused: Tran Phu Hao (former Director of the Center for Vocational Education - Continuing Education of Chau Thanh District; born in 1983, residing in Binh Hoa Commune, Chau Thanh District) and Nguyen Van Thanh (former Chief Accountant of the Center for Vocational Education - Continuing Education of Chau Thanh District; born in 1979, residing in An Chau Town, Chau Thanh District) for the crime of "Taking advantage of position and power while performing official duties".

The investigation determined that during his tenure as Director of the Chau Thanh District VocationalEducation and Continuing Education Center, Tran Phu Hao caused a loss of over VND1.1 billion to the state budget; Nguyen Van Thanh, chief accountant of the Chau Thanh District Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center, caused a loss of over VND383 million to the state budget.
