Bat Xat is ready for the 2024 civil defense area exercise

At the civil defense training ground, the regular army, reserve forces and militia actively practiced and matched scenarios. Wishing to contribute to the success of the exercise, everyone determined that this was a good opportunity to practice skills and effectively respond to situations that arose.

Mr. Vi Thanh Quyen, in Lang Pan village, Quang Kim commune, Bat Xat district said: "I am very honored to participate in this drill. Through the drill, people will understand the work of flood and storm prevention, search and rescue in the village when storms and floods occur."

Selected to organize the live-fire drill, Quang Kim commune mobilized forces, materials, and means to participate in training and build a live-fire drill command center; at the same time, propagated and mobilized people to understand and actively support the drill contents.

Mr. Chu Van Hoi, Secretary of the Quang Kim Commune Party Committee, Bat Xat District, added: "The Party Committee held a meeting to assign specific tasks to comrades in the commune, as well as organizations to prepare well for the drill. Mobilize people to support the movement of assets, trees, and crops to prepare the ground for the drill."

According to the plan, the civil defense - disaster response and search and rescue drill in Bat Xat district in 2024 will have 2 phases: mechanism drill and live troops. The total number of participants in the drill is nearly 1,000 people. To prepare for the drill, Bat Xat district directed agencies and units to draft, develop plans, contents, schemes and mobilize forces to ensure quantity and quality.

Ms. Ban Thanh Thao, Acting Chairwoman of Bat Xat District People's Committee, said: "The District People's Committee has directed the standing agency, the District Military Command, to advise on the issuance of a plan, establish a Steering Committee, and prepare conditions to ensure the exercise is carried out according to plan. Up to this point, preparations have been made to ensure the exercise takes place safely."

With careful preparation in all aspects, Bat Xat is determined to successfully organize the 2024 regional defense and civil defense drill. Thereby, contributing to improving the leadership, direction and operation capacity of Party committees, authorities, Command Committees for Natural Disaster Prevention - Search and Rescue and Civil Defense at all levels; at the same time, propagating and raising awareness and consciousness of natural disaster prevention, search and rescue in the community.
