According to Hola!, Mr. Jorge Figueroa - National Director of Miss Universe Mexico - was arrested in Thailand following accusations from Mr. Nawat Itsaragrisil, representative of the Miss Universe 2025 host organization, regarding the promotion of gambling applications.

Previously, on November 4, Mr. Nawat and the Mexican representative had a conflict at the sash awarding ceremony. The incident caused Mr. Raúl Rocha - President of MUO - and Mr. Nawat to continuously fight on social networks. Businessman Raúl Rocha affirmed that he would file a lawsuit.
In parallel with this noise, in Thailand, Mr. Raúl Rocha was also invited to work to clarify payments related to the contest. According to Thairath, the Mexican businessman is holding 50% of MUO shares, while there are rumors that the remaining 50% of shares held by JKN Global (the company that owns the Miss Universe contest) has been transferred to a Thai-American investor.
