Quang Ninh While sitting in front of his mother's motorbike, the 26-month-old child suddenly turned the throttle, causing the motorbike to crash into a wall. The child fell and suffered a traumatic brain injury, in critical condition.
On September 20, a representative of Cam Pha Regional General Hospital said that the patient was admitted due to a fall and hit his right temple against the wall, causing pain and swelling. Test results showed closed traumatic brain injury, right temporal bone fracture, and right temporal epidural hematoma.
The child is currently receiving intensive care from doctors, with an unknown prognosis.
Doctors recommend not letting children sit in front of the driver of a motorbike or stand on the footrest of a scooter without wearing a seat belt.
When letting children participate in traffic, parents should drive at a steady speed, wearing a secure belt connecting the driver and the child. Especially for children 1-2 years old, the safest place is to sit between two adults. Make children wear helmets when participating in traffic, when getting off the motorbike, turn off the engine.
