British media confirmed that the Italian team approached the Danish striker's representatives to discuss the possibility of completing the deal. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano added: "Inter consider Hojlund one of the top options on the target list."
Inter are said to be keen on a loan deal with an option to buy next year, while the Old Trafford club are keen on a permanent sale to boost their income and avoid falling foul of financial fair play regulations.
Hojlund made a strong impression when he joined MU from Atalanta for a fee of 72 million pounds in the summer of 2023. In his first season, he scored 16 goals and showed great potential, but in the 2024/25 season, the 22-year-old striker's form dropped significantly. He scored 10 goals in all competitions, of which only 4 goals came in the Premier League.
