Cho Ray Hospital on its way to the flood zone to support people in the Central region

Cho Ray Hospital informed that on the morning of November 24, the hospital's working group in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union set out to participate in rescue and support people in Khanh Hoa province to overcome the consequences caused by floods.

The Cho Ray Hospital delegation includes 6 doctors and nurses from the departments of Orthopedics, Emergency Resuscitation, Intensive Care, Surgery, Anesthesia and Resuscitation. They are Dr. Nguyen Phuc Huy, Dr. Ly Thanh Kiet, Dr. Bui Duc Anh Tuan and nurses Nguyen Van Truyen, Nguyen Thanh Tan and Nguyen Truong Phuc Tu.

Specifically, from November 24 to November 28, the Cho Ray Hospital delegation will participate in rescue, relief, and support to overcome the consequences of floods in areas severely affected by flooding and isolation in Khanh Hoa province. At the same time, the delegation will also take care of the health of about 150 Ho Chi Minh City youth volunteers who are performing tasks in isolated areas; perform first aid and provide medical support to people in severely affected areas.

Initially, on November 25, Cho Ray Hospital is expected to transfer 500 family medicine bags (each bag includes non-prescription drugs and basic medical supplies for first aid and primary care) to the locality to support people affected by floods.

These medicine bags will be given directly to people in affected areas, contributing to stabilizing their health during the emergency period after storms and floods.

Ho Chi Minh City provides medical support, sending thousands of medicine bags to people in flood-hit areas

Previously, on November 23, Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital also prepared 1,000 family medicine bags to send to people in flood-affected areas in the Central region.

Since November 22, 38 doctors from Thong Nhat, Military Hospital 175, People's Hospital 115, Orthopedic Trauma, Rehabilitation & Occupational Diseases and An Binh hospitals have been present in Khanh Hoa. This group of doctors is reinforcing the provincial hospital and going directly to Khanh Vinh and Dien Khanh communes - two areas that have suffered serious damage.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health said that coordination work will be maintained continuously to ensure fast, safe and effective support.
