On July 20, People's Hospital 115 (HCMC) inaugurated the Research and Development Center (R&D) at 3 Duong Quang Trung, Ward 2, District 10.
Dr. Tran Van Song, Deputy Director of People's Hospital 115, said that the R&D Center is responsible for researching and developing medical examination and treatment processes, improving quality and satisfying patients; researching and developing databases, applying AI in database management; researching and developing software/websites to manage multi-level healthcare systems, manage patients, look up protocols, medical literature, etc.

The R&D Center also organizes domestic and international research projects; provides training, coaching, and transfers science and technology; and organizes domestic and international scientific conferences and seminars.
The R&D Center will have a technology development and application research unit; scientific research and clinical development; AI and communication unit; training research and development; and 4.0 unit.
Dr. Phan Van Bau, Director of People's Hospital 115, said that this hospital is one of the specialized medical facilities in the country. Each year, the hospital treats 20,000 stroke cases. The stroke network now covers the whole country with 93 centers to which the hospital has transferred technical expertise.
The biggest goal when establishing the R&D Center is that every time we access scientific achievements, we will transfer them to provinces and cities, contributing to people's health care.
