Accordingly, Tan Duc Industrial Park is invested by Sonadezi Binh Thuan Joint Stock Company with an area of 300 hectares. The province has allocated land to the company for the first lease with an area of about 200 hectares. Currently, the company is leveling the ground and building internal roads.

Son My 1 Industrial Park is invested by Son My Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment, Construction and Trading Company Limited (IPICO) with a scale of more than 1,000 hectares. The province has allocated land with an area of about 76 hectares and the investor started construction in August 2022.

In Son My 1 Industrial Park, there are 3 projects that have been granted investment policies: LNG port warehouse, Son My 1 thermal power plant and Son My 2 thermal power plant.

Meanwhile, Son My 2 Industrial Park in phase 1 was approved by the Prime Minister for investment policy for Dong Sai Gon Industrial Investment and Development Joint Stock Company with a scale of about 468 hectares.

Binh Thuan province has directed the Management Board of Industrial Parks, relevant departments and Ham Tan district to coordinate with the investor of Son My 2 Industrial Park to focus on solving issues of site clearance and infrastructure to ensure construction starts in 2025.

Through the actual inspection, Mr. Nguyen Hoai Anh highly appreciated the efforts of relevant departments and units in implementing the above 3 projects in Ham Tan district.

According to him, among the three economic pillars of the province, industry is the sector that contributes the most to the budget. Industry also contributes to creating great value for society and creating jobs for local people.

"If industrial parks in Ham Tan district are built early, and investors and secondary investors build factories and workshops early, we will create jobs, promote socio-economic development, and create conditions for early budget collection for the province," Mr. Hoai Anh shared.

He added that the Tan Minh - Son My connecting road project in Ham Tan district has been implemented. In the future, if the central government expands Highway 55, industrial park projects in Ham Tan district will have many advantages. Goods produced here can easily connect to Long Thanh airport, Cai Mep - Thi Vai port, etc.

Therefore, he requested the departments and branches to coordinate with investors to complete procedures well, speed up the progress to take advantage of the above advantages and potentials. Of these 3 projects, only Tan Duc Industrial Park has done well, the rest have not met the requirements.

The Binh Thuan Provincial Party Secretary also asked investors to proactively build infrastructure in industrial parks when the State allocates land and soon attract secondary investors.
