Kinhtedothi - On February 3 (the 6th day of the Lunar New Year), on the occasion of the New Year, Mr. Do Thanh Binh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee, and his delegation visited and wished a happy new year to businesses in the city.
The delegation of the Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee visited and extended New Year greetings to the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam ( Vietcombank ) Can Tho Branch, the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade of Vietnam (Vietinbank) Can Tho Branch, Power Generation Corporation 2, Tan Cang Port - Saigon New Port Corporation, Can Tho International Airport, Hiep Tai Company Limited, Tay Do Steel Company Limited.
At each destination, the delegation listened to units and businesses share about production and business results in 2024 and development orientations and plans for the new year 2025.
On behalf of the Standing Committee of Can Tho City Party Committee and the working delegation, Mr. Do Thanh Binh acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of units and enterprises in the past year, especially in ensuring the lives of workers, stabilizing and expanding production and business.
Highly appreciate the activities of banks when actively participating in providing capital for the economy, accompanying the city in social security programs.

Besides, the Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee requested that units continue to promote the achieved results, overcome difficulties, and continue to lead and direct the successful implementation of production and business activities in the new year 2025.
Regarding the recommendations on difficulties and obstacles of the units, the Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee said that there will be a separate working session to discuss and resolve them to find the best development direction in the coming time.
On the same morning, the City Party Committee and People's Committee of Can Tho City held a meeting at the beginning of the year to evaluate the city's activities during the Lunar New Year 2025.
According to the report, during the Tet holidays (from December 26, Giap Thin year to the 4th day of the Lunar New Year, At Ty year 2025), the city is estimated to welcome 342,000 visitors; accommodation establishments are estimated to serve 108,500 visitors; tourism revenue is estimated to reach 439 billion VND (up 6% over the same period).
