Can Tho City Party Secretary was appointed as Permanent Deputy Minister of Home Affairs

(Dan Tri) - Mr. Do Thanh Binh, Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee, was appointed by the Politburo to hold the position of Permanent Deputy Minister of Home Affairs.

On the morning of September 27, at the 1st Congress of the Can Tho City Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term, Mr. Do Thanh Binh, Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee, was assigned to hold the position of Permanent Deputy Minister of Home Affairs .

At the Congress, the leaders of the Central Organizing Committee announced the Politburo 's decisions on appointing the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary, and Deputy Secretaries of the Can Tho City Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

Accordingly, Mr. Do Thanh Binh, Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee, was assigned to take on the role of Permanent Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Home Affairs. He will continue to operate until the completion of the content of the 1st Can Tho Party Congress.

Mr. Do Thanh Binh was born in 1967, from Thoi Binh district, Ca Mau province; has a master's degree in economics.

Mr. Do Thanh Binh is a cadre who grew up from the grassroots and has held many positions in Kien Giang province such as: Deputy Secretary, Secretary of the District Youth Union; Vice Chairman, Chairman of the District People's Committee, Secretary of the Vinh Thuan District Party Committee; Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board; Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board; Vice Chairman, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Secretary of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee; and is a member of the 13th Central Executive Committee.

On January 17, the Politburo decided to remove Mr. Do Thanh Binh from his position as Secretary of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee; transfer, assign, and appoint him to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and hold the position of Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee.
