Lang Son City Party Secretary works with the Standing Committee of the City People's Council and its committees - Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television

- On the afternoon of April 1, Comrade Phung Quang Hoi, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the Lang Son City Party Committee, worked with the Standing Committee of the People's Council and the City People's Council committees on the organization and operation of the Lang Son City People's Council in the first quarter and the program of activities in the second quarter.

According to the report, as of March 20, the total number of city People's Council delegates is 24 delegates; commune-level People's Council delegates is 170 delegates.   The People's Council, the Standing Committee of the People's Council, and the People's Council committees of the city have closely followed the key tasks of the Party Committee, implemented the resolutions of the City People's Council in accordance with the law; and strictly implemented the operating regulations of the People's Council for the 2021-2026 term.

Comrade Nong Bich Diep, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council spoke at the meeting.

The City People's Council successfully held 2 sessions, passing 11 resolutions, including 10 resolutions on socio -economics and budget and 1 resolution on establishing and reorganizing specialized agencies under the People's Committee of Lang Son city.

The supervision activities of the City People's Council are organized and implemented in a variety of contents and methods; the quality of supervisions is increasingly improved. The Standing Committee of the People's Council performs well in coordinating and resolving issues arising between two sessions; the People's Council committees are proactive and coordinate in organizing the examination of reports, submissions and draft resolutions submitted to the session.

Concluding the meeting, the Secretary of the City Party Committee highly appreciated the results achieved by the activities of the City People's Council and its committees in recent times.

He suggested that in the coming time, the Standing Committee of the City People's Council should continue to innovate its working methods, improve the quality of meetings, increase contact with voters; disseminate and propagate the Law on Organization of Local Government in 2025; and improve the efficiency of the City People's Council committees.

The City People's Council needs to adjust the 2025 supervision activities to suit the actual situation; focus on thematic supervision, select supervision contents that are of interest to voters and the people.

People's Council delegates at all levels need to uphold their sense of responsibility, collect and reflect voters' recommendations according to their functions and duties as representatives of the People. City People's Council committees need to actively and proactively improve their skills in performing their professional duties.

Comrade proposed: In April, the Standing Committee of the City People's Council should arrange a thematic meeting to consider and resolve a   number of contents according to authority; urge, inspect, supervise agencies to implement resolutions issued by the People's Council; organize well the work of receiving citizens and resolving citizens' complaints; proactively review the tasks of the City People's Council and the Commune People's Council to prepare for the streamlining of the apparatus according to the direction of the Central and the province.
